Campaign Priorities
Invested in Our Community & Our Students
As an LUSD parent with a child at Questa, I don’t just make school board decisions—I live them alongside you. I am deeply invested in our K-8 schools and high school, and I am running to ensure every student in our growing community has the resources, safety, and modern spaces they need to thrive.
1. Proactive Growth Management
LUSD is growing rapidly, and our classrooms must keep pace. I will champion a balance of immediate logistical fixes and forward-thinking, long-term master planning.
Action: I will continue to prioritize infrastructure solutions that eliminate overcrowding and ensure our expanding student body has the physical space, modern labs, and resources required for academic excellence.
2. Expanded Student Opportunity & Inclusion
We moved to this district because we demand a top-tier education for our children. As LUSD expands, our programs must grow with it so no student is left on the sidelines.
Action: I will continue to work to expand extracurriculars, clubs, and elective tracks so that every single student—regardless of their niche interest—finds a place to belong, lead, and succeed.
3. Strict Fiscal Responsibility & Creative Funding
Taxpayer dollars must directly benefit the classroom. I will enforce strict oversight of our budget while aggressively pursuing alternative revenue streams to shield our schools from state budget volatility.
Action: I will continue to foster deep partnerships with our local booster clubs, PFCs, and corporate community allies to build creative funding networks. Furthermore, I will continue to fiercely lobby state and federal lawmakers for full funding of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), ensuring our special education programs get every dollar they deserve.
4. Uncompromising Campus Safety & Mental Health
Students cannot learn if they do not feel safe. Having served directly on the LUSD Safety and Wellness Committees, I have a proven track record of delivering secure single-point school entrances and expanding student Wellness Centers and supports.
Action: I will continue to build on this momentum by continuing to evaluate physical buildings and safety concerns, by expanding parent support resources, and ensuring mental health professionals are readily accessible to students in crisis.
5. Equity Across All K-8 Campuses
In a district with multiple K-8 schools, your zip code or village shouldn't dictate your child's education. I am dedicated to uniform excellence across all LUSD campuses.
Action: I will continue to prioritize resource allocation so that whether a student attends Wicklund, Altamont, Bethany, Cordes, Costa, Hansen, Questa, Lammersville, or Pombo, they have identical access to advanced academic tracks, sports, and arts. I will ensure tailored curricula for all learning types, preparing every student for their chosen path—be it a four-year university, trade school, or military service.
